Orranje are proud to present the Airtec Top Mount Intercooler for the R52 and R53 BMW MINI Cooper S.
This is the latest version with an etched Airtec logo - free Airtec sticker while stocks last.
We are proud to say we are Airtec's official MINI technical partner and have carried out independent tests to prove the excellent cooling these intercoolers give.
Product Details
- Available in satin black or raw aluminium silver finish
- Intercooler connector silicone snoot boots, available as an optional extra, in a wide range of colours

The Airtec TMIC fits the following MINI models
- R52: 2004-2008 Convertible: Cooper S and JCW
- R53: 2002-2006 Hatchback: Cooper S, JCW and GP

When increasing the power of your MINI by fitting modifications such as the KAVS R53 MINI Cooper S Reduced Supercharger Pulley Upgrade Kit, you are also raising intake temperatures. Once these temperatures hit a certain level, the MINI will reduce power. By upgrading your intercooler to the Airtec MINI Cooper S R53 Top Mount Intercooler, you lower the intake temperatures, increasing BHP, and stop the heat from robbing you of vital power.
Airtec Test Results
MINI R53 233.3bhp at AmD Essex's rolling road. All results below were with the bonnet closed on every run.

Conclusion - On a MINI Cooper S with increased power, the standard intercooler is unable to cope with the high temperatures, and fails to sufficiently cool enough.

Conclusion - The 50mm tube and fin core intercooler cools better than standard, but still doesn't cool enough to bring the temps down low enough.

Conclusion - The Airtec 60mm bar and plate core sufficiently cools temperatures down below 50°C, ensuring power is not lost due to excess heat.
